The Orewa Rotary Trust
The Orewa Rotary Trust has been supporting the Hibiscus Coast community since the 1990s. It provides money to local groups and charities to improve our area.
The Orewa Rotary Trust Grant aims to support community groups and charities located on the Hibiscus Coast. The trust offers grants twice a year to help local projects. Recently, groups like Youth in Transition and Harold’s Life Education Trust each got $5,000. The trustees carefully check every application to ensure the money supports worthy causes.
The Orewa Rotary Trust isn’t just about giving cash—it’s about building a better community through local efforts. Its work makes the Hibiscus Coast a nicer place for all of us.
Rotary House
The trust earns its funds by renting out Rotary House which sits in Silverdale, beside the rugby club, and is currently home to North Boxing Academy, run by Coach Ben Williams. The academy trains boxers and teaches valuable lessons like discipline and respect. By renting to them, the trust boosts both the academy and the local community.
Application Process
Funds are distributed twice yearly, with applications due by 1st April and 1st September. This biannual cycle ensures that local groups and charities have regular opportunities to secure support for their projects, keeping the trust an active and responsive partner in the community.
